Zoe Lyons, one of the UK’s favourite comedians, will host Stonewall’s 2013 Brighton Equality Walk. Zoe, a Brightonian herself, will also be at the start line to spur on the hundreds of supporters raising money for the gay equality charity’s work to tackle anti-gay bullying in schools.
Brighton has a place in the hearts of many as being the LGBT capital of the UK. The cosmopolitan city by the sea will be celebrating LGBT history month with the B.Right.On Festival; a programme of art installations, poetry, events and pop-up performances across the city.
Stonewall today opens registration for its tenth annual Equality Walk, which takes place in Brighton on 5 May. The 10k Walk, supported by American Express, raises funds for Stonewall’s Education for All programme, which helps schools tackle homophobia and support lesbian, gay and bisexual young people.
