'Proud2Be' is a new Internet-based project, founded in June 2011 by gay twin brothers Matthew and Jonathan Price.

As children the overriding message they both received from their school and church, the media and society was that being gay was something to be ashamed of. The Proud2Be Project intends to let the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender youth know that there are people in the world like them who are proud to be who they are.

"We both feel there is a huge need for LGBT kids to see and hear a different message; so they grow up loving who they are rather than apologising for who they are- hence the Proud2Be project. We are hoping that a diverse mix of people send us their videos and not just from the LGBT community but from friends, teachers, parents and supporters of the LGBT community too"

Anyone can do this, individuals, couples, groups and families. Make sure your video includes your first name and who you are proud to be.
