www.youtube.com/stonewallukStonewall today launches its YouTube channel and will be regularly adding clips about new research and major campaigns, tasters from events and interviews with youth volunteers, politicians and celebrities.

Today’s launch sees three new videos launched on the new channel, including an interview with 17 year old Rachael McMurray about how involvement with Stonewall’s Youth Volunteering programme has restored her confidence after the homophobic bullying she experienced at school, and an interview with Nat Miles, author of No Going Back – Stonewall’s groundbreaking research into lesbian and gay people and the asylum system.

Laura Doughty, Stonewall Deputy Chief Executive, said: ‘We wanted to make Stonewall’s communications more engaging, more audio-visual and more lively so our campaign for gay equality at home, at school and at work appeals to the largest possible audience. Stonewall’s social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and now YouTube give us the opportunity to get more people behind the cause of lesbian, gay and bisexual equality by providing a platform for new voices to be heard. Watch this space for more exciting developments in the year ahead.’
