KLM Gay GameKLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched its first ever gay online game in the UK. The airline, which is a staunch supporter of the gay community in the Netherlands, has previously worked with the LGBT community in London but this is the first time the airline has targeted a UK-wide audience.

The game, entitled “The KLM Gay Getaway!”, which can be accessed at www.theklmgaygetaway.co.uk, focuses on the gay capitals of the world. Players get a whistle stop tour of the top KLM gay destinations as they answer a series of multiple choice questions about each city.

The view-master mechanic flicks up images of various cities with the questions overlaid on top of the images.  At the end of ten questions players can register their details in order to be put into a prize draw to win flights to a gay KLM destination of their choice.

Verane Brissaud, Marketing Communications Manager, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines UK & Ireland, commented ‘The UK’s LGBT community is very internet savvy and many are very well travelled.  We wanted to remind the LGBT community that KLM is an option for them when planning their next holiday, not only because we fly to the most gay friendly destinations in the world, but also because we fly from 15 airports in the UK to the rest of the world, via one of the world’s gayest capitals – Amsterdam.  “The KLM Gay Getaway!” is a fun, light-hearted game that we hope will engage with audiences and get them talking about KLM – and hopefully flying with us!’
