Exclusive World AIDS Day Giles Deacon T-shirts

Exclusive World AIDS Day Giles Deacon t-shirtThere’s only one week to go until World AIDS Day and Prowler has teamed up with Crusaid to stock the EXCLUSIVE Giles Deacon t shirt for the charity’s THINK.TALK.ACT.GIVE! World AIDS Day campaign.

“Prowler is proud to be supporting Crusaid this World AIDS day. HIV and AIDS are still very serious issues and by stocking the exclusive Giles Deacon t-shirt we can raise awareness of the issues and help Crusaid raise money to continue its work,” said Mark Philips, Senior Buyer at Prowler.

British fashion favourite and GQ’s 2008 Man of the Year, Giles Deacon has loaned his collection mascot “Eek” to the campaign. Dressed with spikes in an abstract reference to ‘protection’ the edgy t-shirt is guaranteed to satisfy the fashion conscious and is this season’s ‘must have’ item for those who want to look good and support the HIV and AIDS cause while doing it.

“People need to be reminded that HIV and AIDS haven’t gone away and that it was not just an illness of the eighties. Fashion is a form of self expression and always gets people talking. By getting Eek ‘protected’ I hope he can inspire many conversations around HIV and AIDS and really get people talking and thinking about this illness– it affects everyone!” said Giles Deacon.

Join Deacon’s “Crusaid” and buy one for yourself, a loved one or a friend and raise vital awareness of HIV and AIDS issues – all proceeds from the sales of the  t-shirt go towards Crusaid’s work supporting poor and marginalised people affected by HIV and AIDS living in poverty here in the UK and internationally.

“The support Crusaid has received from the gay community over the years has been tremendous. World AIDS Day is an important day for all of us - so many people have come out in full force to support our fundraising campaign this World AIDS day. We hope to raise as much money as possible so we can reach more people in desperate need,” said Jordan Hay, Chief Executive.

Crusaid’s THINK.TALK.ACT.GIVE! campaign has also won the support of stars Dan Gillespie Sells, Lisa Snowdon, Jaime Jay, Sue Perkins, Jameela Jamil and Liz MClarnon who can all be seen sporting their “Eek” t shirts at www.thinktalkactgive.co.uk. Other celebrity supporters include Paul O’Grady, Joanna Lumley, Alan Cumming and Anthony Cotton to name a few.

“World AIDS Day should be an important day for everyone.  Yes, there are medicines available and people can live a lot longer but there are still some serious issues around the illness such as poverty, stigma and discrimination. The work Crusaid does in supporting people in poverty affected by HIV and AIDS is vital and World AIDS Day is a reminder to us all that there is still a lot to be done. Charities like Crusaid need all the help they can get to continue their work here in the UK and internationally and we can all play our part by helping out,” said Dan Gillespie Sells of The Feeling.
