In 2009 Oxford Pride is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion of New York, June 1969.

Oxford Pride is on the 6th June 2009.

To honour the memory of those who have fought for human rights and helped to raise awareness for LGBT communities in many parts of the world, the theme for Oxford Pride 2009 is "Summer of Love - Remembering 1969".
