For the fifth year running ZSL London Zoo is proud to announce the most colourful day on its social calendar…Gay Sunday!
Gay Sunday gives you the chance to come out to see the zebras, giraffes, hippos, and of course, the recently boosted pride of lions.
Providing a day out with a difference, guests have the chance to get closer to the animals whilst sipping a cocktail on the lawn, or enjoying a burger from the lunchtime BBQ.
Sit back and be entertained
With stilt walkers, an orchestra, community stalls, and not to mention the bar, the Pink Picnic Lawn is the place to be for Gay Sunday. An ideal location to chill out, party on, or simply watch the world go by, the lawn provides the perfect base from which to explore ZSL London Zoo.
There’s a packed schedule of fascinating keeper talks and animal demonstrations to ensure that everybody has a gay day at the Zoo. The ‘Peckish Penguins’ feed is a guaranteed crowd pleaser, whilst the ‘Animals in Action’ demonstration gives visitors the chance to see the animals showing off their most impressive skills.
Don’t miss the chance to visit the Zoo’s newest exhibit with its oldest inhabitants, Giants of the Galapagos. Home to three giant Galapagos tortoises, the exhibit supports ZSL’s conservation work in the Galapagos Islands, and the frisky trio are definitely making the most of their new quarters.
