Elton John Support for Eninem Homophobia

EminemUS rapper, Eminem, will return to the UK for the first time in over five years after promising to tone down his homophobic lyrics. He has unlikely support in the form of Elton John. Elton has stood up for Eminem and said, "I honestly don't think people will go out and start beating and killing people because of this album. It appeals to my English black sense of humour."

Eminem's song Criminal includes the homophobic lyrics that could incite violence:

“My words are like a dagger with a jagged edge,
That'll stab you in the head, whether you're a fag or lez,
Or the homosex, hermaph or a trans-a-vest,
Pants or dress? Hate fags? The answer's yes”.

Organisers of the 'Wireless Festival' in London have persuaded the rapper to drop his gratuitously anti-gay songs to avoid any demonstrations. Following Eminem's pledge, they have agreed a deal with gay rights groups not to picket the event next summer.

What do Gay Men Really Think of Monogamy

Monogamy?Whilst the media whirlwind surrounding Tiger Woods’ series of encounters outside of his marriage conintues, a recent survey highlights how gay men feel about cheaters.

In general, 41% of those surveyed believed that people make mistakes and were willing to forgive and forget. In contrast, 40% live by the age old mantra ‘Once a cheat, always a cheat’. Though the results indicate a relatively even divide between the two camps, there was marked difference in opinion between the ages.

Those aged 18-24 appear to be more liberal in their attitudes towards cheating with only 34% of them refusing to believe a leopard could change his spots. This stance gradually gains support through the age groups until it peaks at 54% of those aged 61 and above. The trend appears in reverse for those who accept that people make mistakes, with 46% of those aged 18-24 believing mistakes happen, compared to only 24% of those aged 61 and above.

Joe McElderry: Not Gay, It's Official!

Joe McElderryJoe McElderry, the 2009 X Factor winner has dismissed rumours that he is gay but confirmed he is still a virgin.

Joe has commented, “I’m straight. I’ve had girlfriends, but I don’t have one right now. I haven’t slept with anyone, but I’m a young lad and I’m concentrating on my music. I know I’ll probably get offers but – for me – it’s all about the singing for now."

“Being recognised means you have to be really careful. I say ‘Enjoy it, but don’t go over the top’. At the minute, the last thing on my mind is a girlfriend. I need to concentrate on things and maybe think about that when the album’s out and I’ve got a bit of chill time.”

What is the final X Factor twist?

X Factor Final - This WeekendThere is a surprise twist for this weekend’s X Factor final and it has apparently shocked the remaining contestants.

The twist is one of the three remaining singers will be voted off the show on Saturday night, leaving the remaingin two for the Sunday night finale.

Stacey Solomon, Olly Murs and Joe McElderry now have another reason to fear the final this weekend!

Viewers will be able to vote for their favourite during Saturday night's show and the name with the fewest votes will leave at the end of the Saturday show.

The phone lines will then reopen at the end of Saturday's programme for people to vote for their winner. Votes cast during Saturday night's show will not count towards the Sunday final.
