A former Mr Gay UK winner and Police officer has denied a number of sex offences.
PC Mark Carter, 27, appeared at Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape and three sexual assaults.
The court was told the charges involved four different alleged victims and are said to have taken place between December 18 and 19 last year. He was also charged with possessing the class C body building drug Stanazol, also on December 19.
He stood in front of the dock and only spoke to confirm his personal details and to enter his plea.

SHOUT, Birmingham’s festival of Queer Culture is pleased to announce the introduction of film to this year’s programme.
The SHOUT Festival introduces a line up of international films selected to screen in the second annual festival. The 2010 SHOUT Festival runs Thursday, November 4 to Tuesday, November 23, and all films will be screened at mac. The programme takes a broad look at queer life around the globe and has been programmed to compliment the visual arts theme of the festival, visible/invisible, which explores the lives of LGBT people from non Western cultures.
“We are thrilled to bring these films to Birmingham audiences, many for the first time. We've got a good mix of films from documentary, comedy and drama. There is something for everyone.”, says David Viney, Festival Producer.

Do you find it tricky to cruise on the gay scene or online?
Is there a cruising situation that you found difficult or that didn’t end the way you wanted it to? When have you felt most confident when cruising and why was that? GMFA, the gay men’s health charity, is inviting gay men to share their experiences, and their thoughts on what makes for successful cruising, to include in a new HIV-prevention booklet about cruising for sex.
Some men seem to have no problem with cruising, and are confident enough to approach men they like and say no to sex they don’t want. Others might fear rejection, or end up having sex they later regretted. If you have a story you’d like to share, whether you feel it was a good or bad experience, you can post it anonymously on the GMFA blog at www.outspokenonhealth.com/cruising.
